The World Association of Journalists and Writers of Wine (WAWWJ) awarded Bodegas Castelo de Medina with both World Best Verdejo White Wine and Best of Spain in the 2014 World Ranking Wine, in which over 650,000 wines from around the world were analyzed.
The World Association of Journalists and Writers of Wine (WAWWJ) has published the world ranking of wines of 2014, which analyzes the results of the 75 most important wine competitions in the world held throughout the year 2013.
In this ranking, which is made from 1996, Castelo de Medina Verdejo 2012 has been named the Best World Verdejo and Best White Wine of Spain, with a score of 188.88 points.
In addition, the 100% Verdejo produced by Bodegas Castelo de Medina has been ranked the fourth best Spanish wine among more than 17,000 wines submitted to our country competitions in 2013 and as the thirty-third of the world‘s 650,000 wines presented to international wine competitions over the past year.
The nomination of the Castelo de Medina Verdejo as Best White Wine and Best Spanish Verdejo World is given by 7 international awards won by this wine in 2013, among them the Gold Medal at the Concours Mondial obtained Brussels or Tendril Gold obtained in the Tendril Awards.
