Serrada celebrated last Sunday 26 of Marzó the first edition of "QUESOSERRADA" on the occasion of the International Cheese Day

On Sunday, March 26, the day when the dairy product was honored was commemorated and a complete program of activities was prepared.  

On March 27, the International Cheese Day is celebrated all over the world, with special relevance in those countries and regions that produce and elaborate this delicious delicacy. From the Town Hall of Serrada was taken, for the first time at the level of Castile and Leon, the initiative to celebrate the Day of Cheese through "QuesoSerrada" and the activities around the cheese are going to take place. It was March 26, the day before the official celebration, so that more of the neighbors and friends could participate in the event. It is a pioneering initiative born with the will to perpetuate itself in the locality demonstrating the connection of Serrada with the production and tradition of cheese and with the collaboration and participation of two dairy farms, Quesería Campoveja and Cheeses Félix.  

The program of activities was the most complete, fun and participative for everyone, starting at 11:00 a.m. with a breakfast called "In Serrada is la leche".  
12:00. OPENING OF THE POSTS "LA ESPAÑA QUESERA". Tour of Spanish cheeses and a look at neighboring countries  
13:30. THE CHEESE AND THE ART. Sculpture contest "Quescultura".  
14:00. EATING FOOD. It was possible to taste cheese dishes for € 1 and the CIT Manta Verde offered the typical dish "El Aguinaldo" at a popular price and delicious spits of the local hotel business.  
14:30. CHRONICLES QUESERAS. Contest of cheese eaters, the winner got his weight in cheese wedges.  
16:30. QUESOTURISMO. Open day at Campoveja and Felix dairies.
