LIVE AN ENOTOURISTIC HOLY WEEK WITH THE ROUTE OF WHEAT WINE

The entity, through several of its partners, offers interesting proposals to enjoy a getaway for all tastes from 7 to 16 April  

Impressive religious events, such as Holy Week in Medina del Campo, declared of International Tourist Interest, coexist in the Route of the Wine of Rueda with an endless number of activities in which culture, heritage or gastronomy are intermingled with the star element: The wine of the DO Rueda, thus articulating different and very diverse proposals to enjoy. The Rueda Wine Route is an ideal choice for an Easter break in the city, with its associated establishments - wineries, restaurants, lodgings, specialized shops or thermal centers.  

If for some reason the Wine Route of Rueda is characterized by knowing how to accept under its offer the most varied and attractive proposals that show the cultural, natural, artistic, gastronomic and, of course, oenological heritage of the territory of the provinces of Valladolid , Ávila and Segovia, by which it extends. A wealth that allows you to offer alternatives of leisure and culture throughout the year and that, at Holy Week, has a culminating moment with the celebration of exciting religious manifestations in their villages.  

For this reason, several partners of the Rueda Wine Route have designed a series of plans for all the public that extend from April 7 to 16, in which travelers can experience different experiences in the area with friends, family or In pairs, which will be the perfect complement to the great attractions already offered by this land.   Bodega Campo Elíseo The Rueda Wine Route tastes green, and the wines of the D.O. Wheel and the wineries that produce them.

Campo Elíseo has also thought of Easter travelers and has organized a visit to its facilities - modern grape reception and tour through the three subterranean galleries of the XVII century - which will end with a vertical tasting of verdejo and a tasting -presentation of its first rosé ‘Valentín Rosé‘ that will be accompanied by local artisan cheeses and Iberian ham. The price of the activity, which will be about two hours, is 12 euros.  

Bodega Emina Rueda Wine tourism is undoubtedly one of the tourist attractions of the moment. In a wine-growing area par excellence such as that covered by the Rueda Wine Route there could be no shortage of plans such as those offered by Bodega Emina Rueda and its ‘De la cepa a la botella con chocolate‘. The initiative, which is planned for all Easter from 12.00 hours, consists of a visit to the garden of white grape varieties, a tour of the winery, a tasting of three wines with chocolate and a tasting of two Oliduero oils Price of 13 euros. Those who also wish to visit the mill can do so just before, at 11.30 am and with an additional price of 5 euros.  

Bodega Hijos de Alberto Gutiérrez These dates are also synonymous with tradition, so Bodega Hijos de Alberto Gutiérrez has prepared a special visit on Holy Saturday at 11.30 am in which as a culmination will enjoy a tasting of wines from the winery and cheese Campoveja (8 euros) .

Bodega Valdecuevas On the occasion of Holy Week, the winery presents a sensorial experience around the vineyard through ‘The Game of Aromas‘. The proposal begins by knowing first-hand the care that is made to the vine and the terroir, giving way to a guided tour of the facilities of the winery, which will reveal the secrets of winemaking. The tasting room will be the scene of the game that will test the participants‘ sense of smell, who will be able to obtain ‘Valdecuevas coins‘ for each success and then redeem them for a prize, just before tasting two wines to put into practice what they have learned.  

Camping El Astral and Abrasador Restaurant Gastronomy occupies a prominent place in the Rueda Wine Route, for this reason, and by the Abrasador Restaurant at El Astral Camping, travelers will be able to taste their fantastic grilled meats before visiting Tordesillas thanks to a new initiative. It is a Tourist Train with service from Tuesday to Sunday, which will operate throughout the year, and which makes an original visit to the most emblematic places of the municipality by means of an individual audioguide available in four languages. One of the stops on this route is precisely Camping El Astral and Abrasador Restaurant, which is why this tourist alternative is the ideal excuse to escape to Tordesillas this Easter.  

Castle of La Mota The imposing Medinense monument, through Aster Magonia, has also prepared several surprises on the occasion of Holy Week. With the aim of discovering the secret identity of the fortress, and commemorating the International Day of Monuments and Sites, on April 18 and 23 a mysterious visit has been prepared for the whole family from 11.00 to 14.00 and from 16.00 to 19.00 Hours in the Visitor Center of the Mota Castle. Theatrical visits will also take place on Saturdays 8 and 15 April at 12.00 p.m., 13.00 p.m., 17.00 p.m. and 18.00 p.m. and on Sunday 9 and 19 April at 12.00 p.m. and 1 p.m. at a price of 6 euros per person.   Also in Medina del Campo is celebrated on 13, 14 and 15 April the Íscar Cup of youth soccer and in the vicinity of the stadium the Wine Route of Rueda will enable an ‘Information Center of Experiences‘, from which will be provided All tourist information to the visitor.  

Centro San Vicente Ferrer vites you to take a trip in time through the senses, touring and deepening the traditions, rites and customs of the local Holy Week. To do this, it will open its doors to visitors from 11.00 to 14.00 and from 16.30 to 19.30 hours from 7 to 13 April (from Friday of Sorrows to Holy Thursday) and also on Holy Saturday, following the same schedule. The Center will be closed on Good Friday and Resurrection Sunday.  
Madrigal de las Altas Torres Cradle of the roots of medieval Castile and Queen Isabel la Católica, the municipality of Av. Has designed different ‘Visits with History‘ set in the fifteenth century and guided through the eyes of the Holy Brotherhood that will take place on the 15th of April - Holy Saturday - at 12.30 and 17.00 and on the 16th - Resurrection Sunday - at 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. The proposal, of approximately one hour, has a price for adults of 5 euros and 3 euros for children between eight and 13 years.  

Tordesillas Parador The establishment has designed an appetizing special menu of Lent that begins with a croquettes of shrimp followed by a Potaje of chickpeas Pedrosillanos with spinach. It will follow a Bacalao to Vizcaína as main course, to finish, as it could not be otherwise, with a torrija of bread of milk with ice cream of nuts. All this at a price of 32 euros per person (VAT included, drinks not included).  

Tordesillas This historic municipality, witnessing important milestones of the past, presents itself as an attraction in itself during Holy Week thanks to the solemnity of its processions, declared of Regional Tourist Interest, that run for its distinguished cultural heritage. Among the alternatives that the town proposes for these days stands out the Karting Championship of Castilla y León, which will be held on 8 and 9 April, and which may compete participants in the categories benjamin, alevín, junior, senior and Kz -2. Theater lovers will also be able to attend the performance of the play ‘Fray Gerundio de Campazas‘ on April 9th ​​at 8:00 p.m. in the Houses of the Treaty, thus putting the playwright‘s icing on a week marked by religiosity.
